Datuk Hashim Majid has 30 years of experience in the downstream sector of the oil and gas industry. He began his career in 1990 at the Malaysian Refining Company Sdn Bhd (MRCSB) and was later appointed as the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PETRONAS Penapisan (Terengganu) Sdn Bhd in 2015. In 2017, Datuk Hashim returned to MRCSB to become the CEO. 

Prior to joining PRefChem, he was the Head of Refining & Trading Transformation Office and Downstream Leadership Coach in PETRONAS. 

Datuk Hashim led the Emotion, Behavior & Culture of PRefChem workforce assessment as part of the people readiness assessment during PRefChem’s initial years and possesses deep technical capabilities, experience as well as honed leadership skills.
